Sports Business Learning Platform Launched
The SBN LearnX, was launched with the main objective of hosting regular industry roundtables, seminars, workshops and masterclasses, on the modern-day challenges facing executives and administrators in the sports business arena.
SBN LearnX will primarily arrange for interaction between administrators, executives, academics and industry thought leaders, on the best practice to sustainably manage organisations, in a highly disruptive ecosystem, and its impact on the future of sport.
Some of the programmes to be hosted by SBN LearnX, will focus on good governance and ethics in sport, inclusive of the principles of solidarity as a pillar to support broader “stakeholder interest”, and most importantly, protecting the well-being of those participating in sport.
These programmes will be addressed by sports management practitioners, administrators, sports executives and industry personalities, in an environment where people can participate freely and contribute towards the future sustainability of sports business management.
SBN LearnX is led by Gerrit Davids, who is assisted by an “Advisory Board”, which will provide input on the content to be offered in these programmes.
According to Davids, “Other than offering its own programme activities, SBN LearnX will also link up with other major sports industry events, to give our participants ample opportunity to engage with their peers in a knowledge-sharing environment.”
David says, “Primarily SBN LearnX will focus on how its participants could leverage learning from industry specialists and executives representing well-known sports entities from around the world.”
“A future leaders programme will also be an intrinsic part of SBN LearnX, where young executives and administrators, will be afforded the opportunity to be mentored by their more experienced counterparts, through the “Mentor Club”.
